Strathaven Miniature Railway will hold its annual Open Track Weekend on 10th/11th October.🚂

The Open Track weekend is when we invite all the other clubs/societies in Scotland and the North of England to visit out track and bring along their locomotives to run on our track.

You are more than welcome to stand and look from the public path and see the visiting locomotives as well as our own engines.

NO PUBLIC RIDES AVAILABLE this weekend.

We are open this Sat 19th and Sun 20th from 11-4.30 , weather permitting of course. We are then open for the September weekend and then that’s our normal running Season over until next year.

Don’t forget though we do have our Bonfire night special to look forward to.🥳

Unfortunately Strathaven Park Market has been cancelled due to weather conditions

The 28th annual Balloon Festival will take place on 28th, 29th and 30th of August. See the link below to the Balloon Festival information regarding what’s on and times etc. Information about parking is also on this site.
